This scenario-based course that includes hands-on labs, focused on mastering the requirements for the CompTIA Security+ certification. Also it is the essential first step in acquiring a position within the security industry. The Security+ certification course is the primary course you will need to take if your job responsibilities include securing network services, network devices, and network traffic. It is also the main course you will take to prepare for the CompTIA Security+ examination or establishing a foundation to work within the InfoSec field as a professional. In this course, you'll build on your knowledge and professional experience with computer hardware, operating systems, and networks as you acquire the specific skills required to implement, and design security on any type of computer network within your organization.

Prerequisites:

  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, or equivalent knowledge such as attendance of the CCNA210 class
  • Six to nine months experience in networking, including experience configuring and managing TCP/IP
